The recent automotive reports reflect the shift of auto enthusiasts to small, refined and sporty-looking cars. As an aftermath of this striking shift, automakers are expanding their offering of significantly compact luxury crossovers and SUVs.
One of the most visible small cars on the road is BMW X3. The car is the little sibling of X5, a high-performance mid-size vehicle. In fact, it uses some of the vital BMW X5 auto parts to boost its performance.
Since X3's launch in the year 2004, BMW has sold a total of 83,500 units of said car. The sales figures have triggered other automakers to come up with their own version of the car.
One mighty rival of X3 is Acura RDX, a 5-passenger crossover that has been made available since the mid part of August. Acura RDX is also designed to respond to the driving needs of urbanites as well as the suburbanites who prefer a more sporty and stylish wagon with all-wheel drive. It is also designed for couples who haul lifestyle equipment.
With the busy and complicated city lifestyle, Acura RDX can be an ideal companion.
RDX uses some of Acura MDX auto parts. The latter is a bigger vehicle which will be given a significant makeover this year. RDX, on one hand, will be the first turbocharged Acura which will be offered in the United States. It will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine which can generate more power than BMW X3.
X3 is equipped with a 3-liter, inline six-cylinder engine rated at 225 hp.
Acura RDX' engine produces a smooth but powerful performance minus noticeable turbo lag. It delivers power to the wheels by way of an exceptional all-wheel-drive system which can be maneuvered to control the amount of torque and force depending on the road condition.
Aside from BMW X3 and Acura RDX, mighty small cars on the road include Infiniti FX35, Infiniti FX35 and Mazda CX-7. They offer various functionalities and amenities for less.

Radio Control Cars - Which Type Is Right for You or Your Child?
There are several factors to consider before choosing which type of radio control cars to buy. Don't just jump in head first. Making the correct choices, up front, can save you a lot of time and money down the road. Take a few minutes to read this helpful article so you can start out in the right direction. First, it is important to determine who will be the primary user of the cars.
This will help ensure that you don't start off with a car that is far beyond the child's ability to operate. Choosing the right starter radio control car can often mean the difference between building a long-lasting family hobby, or having one more piece of plastic ending up in the toy box. If the intended user is a young child, say under 13, then you might be better off purchasing the relatively inexpensive mini radio control cars that run on batteries. Not only are they inexpensive (often selling for under $20), but they are safe to operate in that they use no flamable gas and they include a low-voltage...

Nanotechnology Unfolds Futuristic Green Cars
Automakers are constantly incorporating the most advanced technology in their lineup. This time around they are planning to use nanotechnology to come up with spectacular vehicles. Two of the most sought-after vehicles are Acura FCX 2020 Le Mans and Volkswagen Nanospyder.
Recently, automakers have unleashed their environment-friendly concept cars that are expected to be manufactured using nanotechnology. The latter is a technology of building tiny machines using functional systems at a molecular scale. According to experts, nanotechnology, in its original sense, means projected ability to assemble items from the bottom up, utilizing techniques and tools being developed these days to make complete, high performance products.
Nanotechnology works from the bottom to the inside of the machine called personal nanofactories (PNs).
Using mechanochemistry, nanotechnology will facilitate control at the nanometer scale. A nanometer is one billionth...

General Motors & Ford-It?s the cars ?Stupid? part II
Copyright 2006 Richard Stoyeck
We've already stated our belief that that 2007 will see Americans buying several hundred thousand less cars than they will purchase in 2006. We are looking for 16.8 million vehicle sales this year. Let's get into the numbers, and see what the implications are. When you, or I buy a car for our personal use, we pay on average about $25,000 per car. The car rental companies in the United States purchase more cars than any other group.
They buy American cars, and pay an average of $15,000 per car. We don't see any big profits from this market segment.
Let's look at the dealerships, and sort out how the Japanese do against the Americans. A Chrysler dealer last year on average sold about 225 cars. If you were a Ford dealer, you averaged almost 700 cars per dealer. GM's Chevrolet dealerships came in under 650 cars per dealer.
Would you be surprised to learn that Toyota sold more than 1600 cars per dealership last year?
